Choosing the right hose for oil-based fluids has a direct impact on the reliability, safety, and maintenance costs of hydraulic systems because they depend on fluid power.

Yes, in most cases. Hydraulic hoses are made to work with petroleum-based oils and many other common hydraulic fluids. But this isn’t a simple “yes or no” question. Not all hoses are the same, and whether a hose is good for oil depends on a number of things, such as the type of fluid, the temperature, the operating pressure, and the standards in the industry.

  • Mineral, synthetic, biodegradable: type of oil
